PQF: Core Collection eligibility
The POSI Quality Framework answers one question: can the journal enter, or remain in, the Core Collection?
PQF is an eligibility and quality-framework assessment. It is not a citation ranking metric and does not determine Citation Quartiles or POSI Zones.
Score
Six factors, 100 points in all. Each criterion is met or not met, on published evidence.
| Factor | Points |
|---|---|
| JTFJournal transparency | 25 |
| MQFMetadata quality | 25 |
| EGFEditorial governance | 20 |
| TDFTechnical discoverability | 15 |
| CVFCitation visibility | 10 |
| RIFResearch integrity | 5 |
Status
| PQF score | Status |
|---|---|
| ≥ 70 | Eligible |
| 50–69.99 | Review Required |
| 40–49.99 | Insufficient Evidence |
| < 40 | Not Eligible |
Use
- PQF is never used to rank journals, to assign Citation Quartiles or POSI Zones, or to claim academic influence.
- It may be used as a filter, for example PQF ≥ 70, never as a default sort order.
- The letter grades kept in older PQF records are not published.
