POSI is now available in Simplified Chinese

What is new. From 24 October 2026, the POSI interface is available in Simplified Chinese at posi.panorama-sg.com/zh/. On any page that exists in both languages, the language switch in the header moves between English and Chinese. The address of every English page is unchanged.

What is translated. Navigation and search; the journal directory, the open access directory, subject categories and publishers; journal profiles and journal records; the Citation Ranking, with every category and edition; the Core Collection; publication search and publication pages; the certificate request and verification pages, the citation generator, the data pages and the logos page; and the documentation: about, editorial policy, methodology, grades, ratings, PQF, PCI, the PSG format, conflicts of interest, responsible use, contact, terms of use and privacy.

What stays in English. As the plan set out, evaluation terms and codes (PQF, AJR, PNCI, PCS, C-Q1 to C-Q4, POSI Zone), POSI-J identifiers, ISSNs, and journal and publisher names are the same in every language, so a grade means the same thing wherever it is read. The certificates themselves (the PDF and the address in its QR code), the downloadable data files, generated citations and News items other than this one remain in English. Where a Chinese page and its English original differ, the English page is authoritative; this applies in particular to the terms of use and the privacy policy.

Against the plan. The notice 'Plan: a multilingual POSI interface' scheduled the Chinese interface (stage 2) for December 2026 to January 2027 and the documentation (stage 3) for February to March 2027. Both are released now, and the Simplified Chinese interface is an official release, not a preview. Corrections to the wording are still welcome and are made as they come in.

What does not change. Translation changes presentation only. No PQF, AJR, citation indicator, ranking or Zone is affected, and the evaluation methodology is not altered.

Corrections. Errors in the translation, unclear terms and requests for another language can be sent through the contact page.

Correction, 24 October 2026. An earlier version of this notice said the certificate verification pages stay in English. They are now translated as well; scanning a certificate opens the English page, and the language switch moves it to Chinese.
